Reviews

Our students love the freedom, flexibility and support we offer. See what they're saying about Sophia's courses.

by Cory S. on September 8, 2024
Based on some other reviews, I was nervous about this course, but it was not nearly as difficult as some people make it out to be. I found myself enjoying the lessons. Make sure you take the time to really understand what's happening in all of the included graphs and you'll do fine.

This was beyond unorganized
by Tyler N. on September 8, 2024
Much harder than I thought it would be, but taught me a great deal and brought up my confidence.

I loved this course! Along with the usual Sophia tutorials to read they had videos too - this was very useful. You can complete the tutorials rather quick since, they're short, but the downside to this is there isn't much depth when looking at each religion. I'd call this an introductory class to religion, not a class for those who are already interested in the topic, or have already studied it. The touchstones were fun to write and I feel a good amount of effort expected (not too much, not too little). Shout-out to my grader, Chris, he was extremely kind and I'm very thankful for his feedback. If you need some Gen Ed credits and don't know what to take I can whole-heartily recommend this class to you.

I found it difficult to grasp some concepts, but overall that did not prevent me from obtaining a satisfactory grade. The milestones really make sure you grasp the concepts that are taught. Great class. Thanks
